Join the Society

The Society of Bereavement Practitioners is a professional membership organisation (a "learned society"), with members drawn from many areas of bereavement care and support - including funeral care professionals, nurses, midwives and carers, counsellors, ministers and celebrants, registrars, monumental masons, artists, doctors and others. Although we are based in the UK, we do welcome new members from around the world, and are proud to have a small number of members in Canada, Malta and Australia.

If you meet our eligibility requirements and would like to become a Member of SBP you can submit your application via our online form. Once it has been evaluated by our Membership Council, we will inform you if your application has been successful, or contact you if we need more information. In the meantime, please check our Membership FAQs or email us at membership@socbp.uk
